Healthy Snack Pops For Kids
There are so easy to make and there are so many combinations. The best part: you feel good about giving your family healthy snacks! Stay away from processed snacks full of refined sugar and artificial colors. What can be better than some fresh fruit?
Fun Fruit Pop Ideas
Your creativity comes to play when you make fun fruit pops. You can get Mickey Mouse fun cutters and Wooden Sticks online or at any department store and start having fun! It is as simple as cutting the fruit and inserting the sticks. Use fun Cutting Molds (set of 6 cutters about 1.5″ for small pops).
When you make the fun fruit pops and realize how easy and how quickly they disappear, you will begin thinking of other combinations. Use your favorite fruits and serve them at parties or other events. Fruit pops are always a hit! Like these magic wands using a Star Cutter (size of cutter about 4″), watermelon and blueberries.
You can even be more creative and make fun fruit pops covered in chocolate or frozen yogurt. Like these bananas: cut in half, insert a popsicle stick, dip in melted chocolate and your favorite toppings: chopped nuts, sprinkles, toasted coconut or granola. Place in tray on top of Parchment Paper Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Or like these frozen yogurt covered fun fruit pops idea I found from the In Sock Monkey Slippers blog:
Ingredients for frozen yogurt covered fun fruit pops:
1/2 cup Greek yogurt (Greek natural yogurt works best)
1 Tablespoon Raw Honey
12 cake-pop or Lollipop sticks 100 count 6 inch
Large freezable fruit such as: bananas, kiwi, strawberries, mango
toppings such as: chopped pecans, cashews, pistachios, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine yogurt and honey. If you feel like you need to add a little more honey than suggested go right ahead. Place the bowl in the freezer for 5 minutes to thicken back up.
Slice fruit into large slices that will fit on a stick. Keep strawberries whole. Prep the desired toppings. Chop nuts and chocolate, toast coconut, pour sprinkle and place on a plate or in separate bowls. Insert sticks into fruit.
Dip fruit into yogurt using a spoon to help spread the yogurt over the fruit. Sprinkle desired topping over the yogurt covered fruit. Place the dipped fruit pops on a baking sheet covered with wax paper or parchment paper. Place in the freezer for 2 hours or until the yogurt is frozen. Remove from the freezer and serve.
Store your delicious fun fruit pops in Freezer Bags in the freezer. If stored for a day or more they are best served when defrosted for at room temperature for a minute or two. Yummy!

You are welcome! Some of the molds I get at Dollar stores, Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon. I include links for my amazon purchases. I just don’t remember where I bought the tiny molds sorry 🙁 but I am pretty sure it was from amazon.

How about a microwave recipe section. I am a senior, living with only Microwave and small refrigerator. Need easy cleanup since I have no kitchen sink.
