7 Secret Kitchen Hacks That Nobody Told You About
1. The Wooden Spoon Hack
Put a wooden spoon on the cooking pot to prevent the water from boiling over. No more spilling and no more mess! This is such a simple and easy hack. All you need is a wooden spoon!
update: ok so I got some comments on this hack saying it does not work 100% of the time. In my case, it works most of the time when the pot is not almost full. I will say that for this hack to work properly, the pot needs to be at a maximum at 60% full of water.
2. The Wine And Grapes Hack
You can keep the wine cold and undiluted with some frozen grapes. This not only will keep your wine cool but also looks nice if you are having a party or small gathering. And you can eat the grapes afterwards too!
This is such a cool hack plus the grapes will absorb a little bit of the wine so when you eat them the taste is wonderful. Changing them instead of ice makes it look nicer and you can impress your guests next time you invite them home for a glass of wine.
3. The Ice Cubes Kitchen Hack
Boil the water for ice cubes before you freeze them, and they will be crystal clear. Whenever you want your ice cubes clear, now you know that this simple hack will make it.
Ok so this hack is just for looks and it is not particularly useful but still thought it was cool to know. Kitchen hacks are always welcome!
4. The Ginger Kitchen Hack
This easy and simple trick will help you peel the ginger in a second. Just use a spoon. A teaspoon works best. I used to struggle so much trying to peel ginger before. Now that I know this trick, I can easily add some grated ginger to my smoothies or recipes.
Even when I am sick with a cold, just scrapping a couple of time and putting it on my cup makes for a wonderful and natural ginger tea. Make sure to have fresh ginger available when you are sick. I keep mine in the refrigerator and lasts for a week. Useful kitchen hacks are amazing.
5. The Garlic Hack
Peel the garlic in the following way: Place it in a jar, shake it very well, and you are done. No more unpleasant smells in your fingers that could even last for days!
6. The Ice Cream Hack
If put in a bag, the ice- cream will be easier to eat with a spoon, as it won’t be frozen and hard. I now do this when I buy ice cream and I don’t have to fight with the spoon anymore when trying to serve it. For years I had trouble with my ice cream. After opening, it was always too frozen. Kitchen hacks to the rescue solved this problem!
7. The Lemon On The Grill Hack
Place few lemon slices under the grilled fish, and thus enrich its taste. Your fish will naturally absorb the lemon flavor.
