Last week, we went to Central Florida for a mini family vacation before Thanksgiving. The weather was just perfect. Nice and breezy 75 degrees during the day. We visited the new Legoland Resort and Legoland Theme Park in Winter Haven, Florida. Our family trip to Legoland Florida was amazing!
What a great family vacation! Let me just say I found the resort to be super kid friendly. We participated in a lego competition where my son made a “big gigantic building”, in his own words. The resort is not huge (we like smaller hotels), and the service is outstanding. Fantastic atmosphere with a bar in the main lobby for the adults, right next to a playground full of legos. Perfect to sit, relax and enjoy a drink while the kids play after a busy day at the park.
The room was very spacious and decorated beautifully. My son was so excited to find some legos inside the room and quickly started playing with them. The room had a separate area with a bunk bed and a king size bed on the other side. Great for families. Oh, and if you want a crib, they will bring it to you right away. Baby is only 6 months old.
The next day, we had scheduled a wonderful breakfast buffet at 8:30am. Breakfast is included with the daily room rate for the entire family. Let me tell you I have been to several breakfast buffets in Orlando, and this was by far my favorite one. An omelette station, a fresh fruit section, and a great selection of breakfast favorites like scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes and toasts. A great way to start the day, eating a good breakfast and having energy to go to the theme park. Here’s Mati getting ready to go go go!
Legoland was fantastic. Perfect for my son’s age (he is turning five next week). If you have kids around this age, don’t miss the opportunity to take them to Legoland. The rides are not too wild and that makes Legoland appropriate for small children. My son had a blast going on all the rides and looking at all the lego creations. We are big Lego fans at home, and it is also my preferred choice of gift for a birthday party.
After a full day of fun and excitement, we had some ice cream at the park. We were so lucky to get such wonderful weather. I recommend going to Legoland during this time. The park and hotel were not crowded at all. Here we are taking a break for a full day of walking and discovering amazing legos.
We were so happy we had such and amazing experience. My son was delighted and ready to play with more legos when we came back home. We will definitely go back when the baby is old enough to enjoy the experience too.
See you soon Legoland!
