This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Sears and Latina Bloggers Connect. All opinions are my own.
Sharing special moments with family is my favorite thing to do. Christmas is the perfect time of the year because we really share quality time with our loved ones. I remember as a child, my family always liked to decorate the tree. Then, we would bake something delicious and enjoy it with “chocolate caliente” while looking at our newly decorated Christmas tree, feeling proud of our holiday project. We also talked about our plans for Christmas Eve and the New Year. We liked to plan our favorite holiday traditional dishes: roasted turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, arroz con aceitunas and peruvian tamales.
Every year around this time, I also get in the mood for baking. There is something about the cold weather (just a little cold because I live in Florida), the holiday decorations, and the Christmas spirit that gets me in full baking mode. What can be better than your house decorated with a beautiful tree, (I always choose to buy a natural one because I love the smell) and homemade delicious food? We don’t even have to feel guilty about baking because during the holiday season we are allowed to eat many treats. I love it!
This is also the season of giving so we need to buy presents and what can be a better place to do that than Sears? I remember as a child my mother loved this store. Who wouldn’t? Affordable prices and a great selection of products from baby to kid’s toys to home goods, it is the perfect one stop shopping destination to please everyone. They also have an awesome selection of kitchen gadgets and baking tools. This year, Sears has also partnered with the Huffington Post to highlight Latino Holiday traditions! Check out this great story about how a Latino family does Christmas differently. Baking some delicious treats will also be perfect after a full day of shopping at Sears.
I like to keep my holiday traditions, so every year we buy our natural tree, decorate it together, bake and cook yummy homemade meals using fresh ingredients.
