Health benefits of eating Greek yogurt
Greek yogurt is made from a highly concentrated form of milk, so you’re actually getting more calcium per mouthful than you would if you drank a glass of fresh milk. The composition of Greek yogurt averages at about 20 percent calcium, making it an effective bone strengthener. “Greek yogurt has double the protein of most regular yogurts,” Bonnie Taub-Dix, a New York-based nutrition expert explained. “An 8-ounce cup has as much protein as a 3-ounce chicken cutlet!” In addition to being a key nutrient in building and maintaining your muscle mass, including protein in every meal it can also keep you full longer.
