How To Make Perfect Green Smoothies For Kids
Green smoothies are one of my favorite healthy breakfast ideas, and they’re wonderful for picky eaters who refuse vegetables. Add beets, kale, spinach, cucumbers, celery, and they just won’t even notice it! You can also add super foods like chia seeds, ginger, or aloe vera to make them extra nutritious with added health benefits. A high speed blender is a must if you want to make smoothies all the time. It blends fruits and vegetables in seconds! My Vitamix Professional Series is one of the best purchases I have ever made! You get super smooth smoothies all the time. How To Make Perfect Green Smoothies For Kids Tutorial really needs a high speed blender. Put in on your birthday or holiday wish list!

I recommend starting with spinach or kale. Add 1/2 cup to your blend and your kid will happily approve. I would also start with bananas and mangoes to keep them on the sweeter side. Use coconut water as your base and you don’t need any additional sweeteners. Spinach or kale would not change the flavor of the smoothie. You can then experiment with beets, cucumbers and other vegetables and work your way up to 1 cup. Little by little so their little palates won’t refuse it.
Liquid base for smoothies: Try coconut water, kefir, milk (dairy or non dairy), or just water. If you use water, milk, or plain kefir, adding a tablespoon of raw honey or maple syrup will sweeten them enough.
How to serve smoothies: It is always better to drink your smoothies fresh as soon as you make them. Use fun molds and make ice pops with the leftovers! I love serving smoothies in mason jars with colorful paper straws. You can always store leftover smoothies for a couple of days in the fridge. The mason jars are perfect for storage.
You can also make Ice Pops with any smoothie recipe. Just make sure to add a tablespoon or two of honey or maple syrup because the ice will take away some sweetness. Ice Pops are also great when kids or adults are sick and loose their appetite. Can soothe a sore throat, help hydrate, and cool you down. Adding Raw Honey, lemons, cinnamon, and ginger, will help you recover from a cold faster with no annoying side effects.
