Oven Baked Burgers With Sprouted Lentils recipe is a very nutritious dinner option. My husband and son recently asked me if I could make some burgers. I had a pound of grass-fed beef in the fridge and didn’t really feel like frying the burgers in a pan. It is messy, smelly and not the healthiest form of cooking so I thought what if I bake the burgers? I quickly looked on the internet and found out it is an excellent way to cook your ground meat!
Oven Baked Burgers With Sprouted Lentils
These burgers in the oven came out super juicy and tasty. Mission accomplished! Now, what can I serve my burgers with other than bread? Sprouted lentils! I am a big fan of sprouted grains, they are more nutritious, easier to digest, and cook in less time than regular grains. The sprouted lentils cooked in 15 minutes and the burgers about 20 minutes at 400 degrees in the oven.
What are sprouted grains exactly?
The sprouted grain process involves soaking the grains in water until they begin to grow a sprout. Sprouted grains are living foods. Enzymes are released during the sprouting process, which breaks down proteins and carbohydrates. This process helps make sprouted grain food low glycemic and easier to digest. Nutrients are absorbed immediately into the body, and are not lost in the digestive process. Sprouted grains are also higher in vitamins, carotenoids, and may have higher protein compared to regular grains.
This Oven Baked Burgers With Sprouted Lentils recipe will be ready in less than 30 minutes! It is a very healthy dinner option too. I served it with slices of avocado. You can buy True Roots Organic Green Sprouted Lentil online or at any health store.
