I have gotten some cool lunchbox items recently, so in the spirit of going back to school, I decided to make a list of my favorite 10 green school lunch supplies. The products on my list below are all school lunch gear I regularly use to send food for my 2 kids. I will never recommend a product I don’t use at home, and my reviews are always 100% honest.

This container is perfect for sending warm food for lunch. LunchBots 16oz Thermal Stainless Steel Wide Mouth Thermos. It will keep food warm for 4 to 5 hours. I love the size (16 ounces) because it has a wide bowl shape ideal for enjoying full meals. Other food jars are way too small and food gets all mixed up. You won’t have a problem with the 16oz thermos because there is plenty of room and it is not as tall.
This container is made of the highest quality 18/8 stainless steel; no plastic comes in contact with your food. BPA-free. It is dishwasher safe and the seal removes easily for thorough cleaning. After years of trying different food jars for my kids, this is by far the best one. I’ve been sending warm food in this wonderful container since my son was in preschool.
2. Stainless Steel Water Bottles To Send To School
This is my son’s favorite water bottle by far. The Pura Sport Stainless Steel Kids Sport Bottle with Silicone Sport Flip Cap & Sleeve is plastic free, nontoxic certified, BPA free, and holds 11 ounces of water. They come in different colors to choose from. I love it because it is super easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and won’t leak.
If you are looking for a water bottle for preschoolers, I also love the Thermos Funtainers. They have super fun designs and can keep water cold for hours. These thermos water bottles have a straw to make it easier for little ones to drink without spilling the water. Another excellent option is also the Hydro Flask 12 oz Kids Water Bottle.
3. Bento-Style Lunchbox For Healthy School Lunches
You can never go wrong with a bento box! My son calls it his “homemade Lunchable.” I love this one by GreenLunch. It’s the best bento lunch box on Amazon there right now, in my opinion. I love the different compartments and how you get inspired to send healthy food with this container.

4. Reusable Lunch Bags for Sandwiches And Snacks
These convenient little bags are awesome for kids and adults, and there are many designs to choose from. I really love these bags from EcoHip. They’re super practical and so easy to clean! Perfect for sandwiches or snacks like fruits, cereals, crackers, and nuts. They’re made with 100% cotton on the outside and ripstop nylon on the inside. The bags are also lead-free, BPA-free, PVC-free, and phthalate-free.
