Blueberry Kale Breakfast Smoothie
Breakfast is really important to me. This is why I am always looking for new and creative breakfast ideas. Smoothies are a great way to incorporate a lot of good-for-you stuff, specially when you want your kids to eat lots of fruits and veggies.
Let’s face it. Kids are not really into kale. They are not really into “green” leaves in general, at least my kids aren’t, and making a breakfast smoothie is the perfect way to “hide” that super nutritious green leaf. You can actually include as many healthy ingredients/supplements as you want, like probiotics, multivitamins, collagen, ginger, or aloe vera.
What I like to do in the mornings is make a breakfast smoothie for my family. I try to change the flavors all the time so they don’t get bored, but so far, they are always excited about their smoothies. My kids have been drinking breakfast smoothies for years!
This blueberry kale smoothie is very easy to make, and the combination of blueberries and kale is just amazing. I also like to use coconut water as my liquid base because it kind of gives it a sweeter twist and I don’t need to add any more sugar to my recipe. You can also try this breakfast smoothie recipe it with water, yogurt, or any type of milk if you prefer.

Now let’s talk about kale. I just see the name and immediately think healthy. Kale contains protein, fiber, and lots of vitamins and minerals. Notes
Nutrition information varies depending on the supplements you use. You can use one or several supplements at once.
I like to add collagen to my kids’ smoothies at least 3 times a week. It gives an extra protein boost.
I add probiotics daily for a couple of months and then give them a break for another couple of moths before starting them again. Probiotics help strengthen the immune system.
I always add a complete and all natural multivitamin for my kids.
